This is an RP journal for Benjamin "Dex" Poindexter of season 3 of Netflix's Daredevil.

Background

Dex is an FBI agent working on Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk's detail upon his removal from prison. He has exceptional aim and tracking skills which makes him a deadly shot with a gun, but means he doesn't need one when he can make anything a projectile. As a kid, following the death of his baseball coach, it was discovered that he had mental health problems which render him unable to feel empathy. This was diagnosed (possibly incorrectly) as Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) by his psychiatrist at the time. She helped him express empathy (whether he truly felt it or not is a different story), and function more efficiently in the real world. She died of natural causes, and he still listens to her tapes to keep himself on the right track. He's served in the military and worked for a suicide hotline (not in that order) before becoming an FBI agent. Dex wants to be better, and tries to be, but still has bad days. According to the people working on the show, he's not yet Bullseye, but living the story of how a pretty well-adjusted man could end up there. If you want full sociopath, 616 Bullseye is more your speed: clozapine

Permissions

• Romance: Yes, but he gets attached and is very needy in serious romantic relationships.
• Hugging: Yes. He doesn't know when to go in for a hug, or when to not, so usually he will follow the hugger's queue. Expect awkward.
• Kissing: Yes.
• Flirting: Yes, but again, expect awkward.
• Fighting: Hell yeah.
• Killing: Sure, why not. PM first though.
• Mind Reading: Yes, but PM if you want all the delicious details.
  

Shipping Preferences

 

• Fandom ships: Open to almost anything within the Marvel Netflix umbrella. 
  • YES: Ray Nadeem, Billy Russo, Wilson Fisk, Karen Page, Elektra Natchios, Frank Castle.
  • NO: Matt Murdoc (unless CR has been established...somehow?)
• Non-fandom ships: Open to anything in Marvel/DC universes, and willing to try about everything else.
  • YES: All the villains, and the morally flexible. Jonathan Crane, Domino, Longshot, Deadpool, Cable. Anyone who feels like he may be redeemable. 
  • NO: Anime fandoms (not a hard no, just not very familiar), OCs.
• Smut: Yes. OTA, but M/M is preferred.
  • YES: Characters 21+
  • NO: Under 21, with the exception of an 18+ Peter Parker.
